Swipe right to shop second hand

Solareturen - Mobile application design
Student version
50+ version
Project Overview
This project was a part of the course Graphic Form I at Karlstad University.
My Contributions
My designprocess started with a research of Solareturens organisation and work. This gave inspiration to a visual brain dumping. The ideas generated in the visual brain dumping where used to create a new logotype.
Brief
The aim of the assignment was to enhance the user experience for diverse audiences who use mobile platforms for activities like ordering food, shopping, etc., targeting different groups: students and people over 50. The focus was to create a mobile app design for Solareturen, a local second hand store in Karlstad specializing in clothing and goods. The aim was to enhance the user experience for diverse audiences who use mobile platforms for activities like ordering food, shopping, etc.
The interface of both prototypes are characterized by key words that are significant to the organisation: välkommen, sol and värme. Therefore, colorful and warm pictures have been used to emphasize the feeling of the organisation.

The functions of the prototypes differs. The prototype for people over 50 include functions as: the ability to donate separate things or household goods. An additional view is included to enlighten the user of its goodwill sum and in that way give the user positive feedback. The student version focuses on the possibility to swipe amongst Solareturens assortment, similar to swiping on Tinder, since the opportunity to find secondhand goods can be economically beneficial to newly-moved-in students.
